Does Your Kids Ministry Need a Change? Ask Your KIDS!

I am constantly assessing Grace’s K-5th Ministry (CROSS STREET) to ensure that kids are having a BLAST while growing in their relationship with Jesus Christ and each other. Is this the best strategy? Is that the best way to engage kids? Is this exciting for them? Does that encourage growth?

All these questions can rack a Kids Pastor’s brain, and sometimes our methods of judgment can become a bit cloudy due to the myriad of paths out there.

Before going too far with implementing change . . . STOP!!! Simply take the time (10 minutes at the most) to sit with the kids in your environment and ask them what they like and what they do not like about the Kids Ministry at your church. Make sure the adult who leads this discussion is not too attached to the kids (like a Small Group Leader) so the kids will feel free to vent or praise their experiences in the environments that your church provides.

TRUST ME, the results from this meeting are priceless and can offer so much wisdom as you work through what is best for the Kids Ministry that you lead.
