Kids Min Leaders: Make Your Own Videos

A huge lesson in Kids Min that I’ve learned so far is for Cross Street to make our own videos as much as possible. The kids love seeing familiar faces on the screen in large group and at our family production, cross street LIVE.

It’s fun and SUPER EASY!!! We use a HD Flip, download it onto our Macs, drop it in iMovie, and edit away. Production quality is not a big deal with the kids, but you’ll be surprised with your results.

GIVE IT A TRY. Here are some samples of our stuff:

I love the Gideon video. Where did you nab those images from?

Well, duh. I guess I’ve been using the k-3rd images; and never happened upon these images. One more question. What is the music we have here?

    Nice.

Honestly, I just recently stumbled upon these myself. LOL! The song is called Mind Heist from the movie Inception. I can send you the Inception Soundtrack along with the Dark Knight soundtrack. Both are GREAT for videos like these! Also, we use them, when the mood is right, during our story times. Adds a very cool dramatic effect. Like this Sunday, since we are talking about Gideon and the big battle and stuff, it’s a perfect time to use some cool, dramatic background music (the dudes LOVE IT). What’s your email address and I’ll send the albums to ya via mobileme.

  3. Adam, I looked on iTunes for Mind Heist and couldn’t find it there. Can you send it to me as well? I think I’ll shoot for the same kind of video this week too. My address is chris@csykes.com

  4. Another good soundtrack is Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
