The WHY Behind Wonder Warehouse

This past Sunday at Grace Community Church we changed the theme of our Preschool Ministry from Grace Acres to Wonder Warehouse. There was lots of excitement in the air and looking back it’s safe to say our transition was a success!

But why change anything? I mean, Grace Acres was awesome . . . it worked just fine. Well, here’s why:

Change Builds Momentum: In the Kids Ministry at Grace . . . we love change. Change can be exciting and even refreshing. If branded and promoted the right way, any ministry can receive a renewed sense of energy when change is involved.

Intentionality In The Name: In our Kids Ministry we love simplicity . . . what are we all about and what do we need to focus on? Our mission is to help kids become growing followers of Jesus Christ, and one of the ways we accomplish that mission is to help incite WONDER in the hearts of kids about our amazing God. Wonder Warehouse reminds us about one of our most important goals in preschool . . . to incite wonder.

Getting The Most Out Of Our Environment: At Grace we rent out two high schools for our Sunday morning services. At both our campuses we use the school cafeteria for the preschool environment. When we were Grace Acres our theme was a farm, but since we are in a space that can’t be completely revamped to capture the “farm look” we decided to change the theme to something that would allow us to match the environment to the theme.

When all the cafeteria tables are pushed back and the new banners are up . . . the place looks like an awesome warehouse where cool things can happen. WONDER WAREHOUSE simply enhances the environment that already existed; it’s a perfect marriage.

We are so excited about our new look and name, and we’re looking forward to many years of helping kids grow in their relationship with Jesus in Wonder Warehouse!
